The Children’s Literature and Reading Special Interest Group (IRA CL/R SIG) is a nonprofit organization chartered by the International Reading Association (IRA) on November 7, 1979. Membership is open to all who have an abiding interest in the development of literacy and in promoting high quality literature, Pre-K through 12 teachers, librarians, teacher candidates, administrators, university professors, authors and publishers. CL/R SIG members must also be members of IRA.
